About The Singing VA

Hi, I’m Kim.
Through The Singing VA, I provide small businesses with virtual assistant services from my base in West Cumbria, just outside the Lake District. I’m also supported by a small yet fantastic team with a range of VA skills.
After leaving university with a drama degree in World Performance, I began doing volunteer admin support for a national charity promoting international friendship and cultural understanding. I was soon hired as a paid member of staff and quickly gained lots of different skills including planning, coordinating and marketing.
I continued working at this charity for 5 years, during which time I had various roles including Office Manager, Marketing Manager, and Deputy Chief Executive. It was interrupted only once when I spent three months living and working in Italy!
When I returned to my home county of Cumbria, I began working with one of the top independent holiday cottage letting agencies in the area, Sally’s Cottages. There, I was involved in the creation and implementation of the overall marketing strategy, coordination of all marketing streams, and creation of two annual brochures, as well as day-to-day marketing management and administration.
After a change in circumstances, I began working remotely for Sally’s Cottages and, shortly after, set up my own virtual assistant business, The Singing VA. I now offer a range of admin, marketing and tech VA services to busy business owners who wish they had more than 24 hours in the day.
In my spare time I love to sing and regularly perform in concerts and shows in my local area. On most days I can be found at my desk singing along to whatever music takes my fancy!

Our Team
I’m forever grateful for the support of a fantastic team. All Virtual Assistants in their own right, they each bring additional expertise to make sure The Singing VA can offer a broad range of services and that there’s someone available to support during absences. Here’s a little about them all!

Mary is a tech wiz and is great at fixing website issues, as well as updating content and doing all things techy. She’s also got a great eye for proofreading.

Sally is excellent at email management – she loves to get an inbox in check – and is a master at organisation. She’s a wonder with paperwork, long documents, and also does some creative writing too.

I worked with Geil 10+ years ago at a charity, and she’s recently joined my team here. She’s a great all-rounder who cracks on, whatever the task.
